धातापि हि सवकर्मैव तैस तैर हेतुभिर ईश्वरः विदधाति विभज्येह फलं पूर्वकृतं नृणाम ।। ३-३३-१९ ।।

sanskrit

'And God, the Ordainer of the universe, distributes the fruits of actions among men according to their past deeds. Whatever actions, whether good or bad, a person performs are the results of divine arrangement, in accordance with the acts of their previous lives.' ।। 3-33-19 ।।

english translation

dhAtApi hi savakarmaiva taisa taira hetubhira IzvaraH vidadhAti vibhajyeha phalaM pUrvakRtaM nRNAma || 3-33-19 ||
