अरिणी सहितं चेदं बराह्मणाय परयच्छत जिज्ञासार्थं मया हय एतद आहृतं मृगरूपिणा ।। ३-२९८-२० ।।

sanskrit

'O perpetuators of the Kuru race, by my grace, you shall spend this thirteenth year in secret and unrecognized, in the kingdom of Virata. Moreover, each of you shall be able to assume any form you desire, at will. Now, return the fire-sticks to the Brahmana—they were taken only as a means to test you, when I came in the guise of a deer.' ।। 3-298-20 ।।

ariNI sahitaM cedaM barAhmaNAya parayacchata jijJAsArthaM mayA haya etada AhRtaM mRgarUpiNA || 3-298-20 ||
