[जनम] कवस्था वीराः पाण्डवास ते बभूवुः; कुतश चैतच छरुतवन्तः परियं ते किं वाकार्षुर दवादशे ऽबदे वयतीते; तन मे सर्वं भगवान वयाकरॊतु ॥ ३-२९४-४१ ॥
'Janamejaya asked, “Where were those mighty heroes, the sons of Pandu, at that time? From whom did they hear this welcome news? And what did they do when the twelfth year of their exile had passed? O illustrious one, please narrate all this to me!”' ॥ 3-294-41 ॥

[वै] लब्ध्वा कृष्णां सैन्धवं दरावयित्वा; विप्रैः सार्धं काम्यकाद आश्रमात ते मार्कण्डेयाच छरुतवन्तः पुराणं; देवर्षीणां चरितं विस्तरेण ॥ ३-२९४-४२ ॥
'Vaisampayana said, “Having vanquished the leader of the Saindhavas and rescued Krishna, and having endured the full term of their arduous exile in the forest, the mighty heroes, having listened to the ancient tales of gods and sages narrated by Markandeya, returned from the hermitage at Kamyaka to the sacred Dwaitavana."' ॥ 3-294-42 ॥

परत्याजग्मुः सरथाः सानुयात्राः; सर्वैः सार्धं सूदपौरॊगवैश च ततः पुण्यं दवैतवनं नृवीरा; निस्तीर्यॊग्रं वनवासं समग्रम ॥ ३-२९४-४३ ॥
'The heroes returned with their chariots and retinues, accompanied by their entire entourage of cooks, townspeople, and attendants. Having successfully traversed the holy Dvaitavana forest, these valiant warriors thus completed their full term of harsh exile in the wilderness.' ॥ 3-294-43 ॥
