[वै] देवराजम अनुप्राप्तं बराह्मण छद्मना वृषः दृष्ट्वा सवागतम इत्य आह न बुबॊधास्य मानसम ॥ ३-२९४-१ ॥

'Vaiśampāyana said: And when the king of the celestials appeared in the guise of a Brāhmaṇa, Karna beheld him and said, 'Welcome!'—unaware of the purpose that lay in his heart.' ॥ 3-294-1 ॥

english translation

[vai] devarAjama anuprAptaM barAhmaNa chadmanA vRSaH dRSTvA savAgatama itya Aha na bubòdhAsya mAnasama ॥ 3-294-1 ॥
