बराह्मणा हि महाभागाः पूजिताः पृथिवीपते तारणाय समर्थाः सयुर विपरीते वधाय च ॥ ३-२८८-७ ॥

sanskrit

'For indeed, O King, the highly blessed Brahmanas, when revered, possess the power to protect; but when dishonoured, they are equally capable of destruction.' ॥ 3-288-7 ॥

english translation

barAhmaNA hi mahAbhAgAH pUjitAH pRthivIpate tAraNAya samarthAH sayura viparIte vadhAya ca ॥ 3-288-7 ॥
