न हय अतुष्टॊ जनॊ ऽसतीह परे चान्तःपुरे च ते सम्यग्वृत्त्यानवद्याङ्गि तव भृत्यजनेष्व अपि ॥ ३-२८७-२१ ॥
'And, O thou of faultless limbs, within the inner precincts of my palace, due to thy gentle and gracious conduct, there is not one— not even among the servants—who is displeased with thee.' ॥ 3-287-21 ॥
english translation
संदेष्टव्यां तु मन्ये तवां दविजातिं कॊपनं परति पृथे बालेति कृत्वा वै सुता चासि ममेति च ॥ ३-२८७-२२ ॥
'Therefore, I deem you fit to attend upon all Brahmanas, even those of wrathful temper. O Pritha, you are a maiden and have been adopted as my daughter.' ॥ 3-287-22 ॥
english translation
वृष्णीनां तवं कुले जाता शूरस्य दयिता सुता दत्ता परीतिमता मह्यं पित्रा बाला पुरा सवयम ॥ ३-२८७-२३ ॥
'Thou art born in the Vrishni lineage and art the beloved daughter of Sura. O maiden, thou wast gladly given to me by thy own father.' ॥ 3-287-23 ॥
english translation
वसुदेवस्य भगिनी सुतानां परवरा मम अग्र्यम अग्रे परतिज्ञाय तेनासि दुहिता मम ॥ ३-२८७-२४ ॥
'You are the foremost daughter of Vasudeva's sister's sons, and having been promised to me first, you are my daughter.' ॥ 3-287-24 ॥
english translation
तादृशे हि कुले जाता कुले चैव विवर्धिता सुखात सुखम अनुप्राप्ता हरदाद धरदम इवागता ॥ ३-२८७-२५ ॥
'Born into such a noble lineage and raised within that very lineage, you have passed from one state of bliss to another, like a lotus transplanted from one sacred lake to another.' ॥ 3-287-25 ॥
