[भारद्वाज] यथास्य भार्या सावित्री तपसा च दमेन च आचारेण च संयुक्ता तथा जीवति सत्यवान ॥ ३-२८२-१६ ॥
'And Bharadvāja said, "Considering the ascetic merit, self-restraint, and virtuous conduct of his wife Savitri, there can be no doubt—Satyavan lives."' ॥ 3-282-16 ॥
english translation
[दाल्भ्य] यथादृष्टिः परवृत्ता ते सावित्र्याश च यथा वरतम गताहारम अकृत्वा च तथा जीवति सत्यवान ॥ ३-२८२-१७ ॥
'And Dālbhya said, "Since thy sight has been restored, and since Savitri departed after completing her vow—having taken no food—there can be no doubt that Satyavan lives."' ॥ 3-282-17 ॥
english translation
[माण्डव्य] यथा वदन्ति शान्तायां दिशि वै मृगपक्षिणः पार्थिवी च परवृत्तिस ते तथा जीवति सत्यवान ॥ ३-२८२-१८ ॥
'And Mandavya said, "From the stillness pervading all directions, the calm cries of birds and wild animals, and the fact that thy sight has been restored—signifying thy renewed purpose upon the earth—there can be no doubt that Satyavan lives."' ॥ 3-282-18 ॥

[धौम्य] सर्वैर गुणैर उपेतस ते यथा पुत्रॊ जनप्रियः दीर्घायुर लक्षणॊपेतस तथा जीवति सत्यवान ॥ ३-२८२-१९ ॥
'And Dhaumya said, "Since thy son is adorned with every virtue, beloved by all, and marked with the signs of long life, there can be no doubt—Satyavan lives."' ॥ 3-282-19 ॥

[मार्क] एवम आश्वासितस तैस तु सत्यवाग्भिस तपस्विभिः तांस तान विगणयन्न अर्थान अवस्थित इवाभवत ॥ ३-२८२-२० ॥
'Markandeya continued, "Thus comforted by those ascetics of truthful speech, Dyumatsena, reflecting on their words, found some measure of peace."' ॥ 3-282-20 ॥
