चतुर्वर्ष शतं चायुस तवया सार्धम अवाप्स्यति इष्ट्वा यज्ञैश च धर्मेण खयातिं लॊके गमिष्यति ॥ ३-२८१-५६ ॥
'He will live with you for four hundred years, performing sacred rites and sacrifices with devotion, and will earn great fame throughout the world.' ॥ 3-281-56 ॥
english translation
तवयि पुत्रशतं चैव सत्यवाञ जनयिष्यति ते चापि सर्वे राजानः कषत्रियाः पुत्रपौत्रिणः खयातास तवन नामधेयाश च भविष्यन्तीह शाश्वताः ॥ ३-२८१-५७ ॥
'And Satyavan will beget a hundred sons by you. These Kshatriyas, along with their sons and grandsons, will all become kings and will forever be renowned by your name.' ॥ 3-281-57 ॥
english translation
पितुश च ते पुत्रशतं भविता तव मातरि मालव्यां मालवा नाम शाश्वताः पुत्रपौत्रिणः भरातरस ते भविष्यन्ति कषत्रियास तरिदशॊपमाः ॥ ३-२८१-५८ ॥
'And thy father will beget a hundred sons by thy mother Malavi. Under the name of the Malavas, thy Kshatriya brothers—resplendent as the celestials— will be renowned far and wide, along with their sons and daughters.' ॥ 3-281-58 ॥

एवं तस्यै वरं दत्त्वा धर्मराजः परतापवान निवर्तयित्वा सावित्रीं सवम एव भवनं ययौ ॥ ३-२८१-५९ ॥
'And having bestowed these boons upon Savitri, and thus pacified her, Yama returned to his abode.' ॥ 3-281-59 ॥

सावित्र्य अपि यमे याते भर्तारं परतिलभ्य च जगाम तत्र यत्रास्या भर्तुः शावं कलेवरम ॥ ३-२८१-६० ॥
'After Yama departed, Savitri went back to the place where her husband’s ash-colored corpse lay.' ॥ 3-281-60 ॥
