नदीः पुण्यवहाश चैव पुष्पितांश च नगॊत्तमान सत्यवान आह पश्येति सावित्रीं मधुराक्षरम ॥ ३-२८०-३१ ॥
'Then Satyavan sweetly said to Savitri, ‘Behold these rivers with sacred currents and these splendid trees adorned with blossoms!’' ॥ 3-280-31 ॥
english translation
निरीक्षमाणा भर्तारं सर्वावस्थम अनिन्दिता मृतम एव हि तं मेने काले मुनिवचॊ समरन ॥ ३-२८०-३२ ॥
'But the faultless Savitri continued to observe her lord in all his states, and recalling the words of the celestial sage, she accepted that her husband was indeed dead.' ॥ 3-280-32 ॥
english translation
अनुवर्तती तु भर्तारं जगाम मृदु गामिनी दविधेव हृदयं कृत्वा तं च कालम अवेक्षती ॥ ३-२८०-३३ ॥
'With a heart torn asunder, the noble damsel softly answered her lord and followed him, awaiting the destined hour.' ॥ 3-280-33 ॥
