विनष्ट चक्षुर अस तस्य बाल पुत्रस्य धीमतः सामीप्येन हृतं राज्यं छिद्रे ऽसमिन पूर्ववैरिणा ॥ ३-२७८-८ ॥

sanskrit

'That wise but blind king had a single son. And it so happened that a former enemy, dwelling nearby, seized the opportunity of his affliction and usurped his kingdom.' ॥ 3-278-8 ॥

english translation

vinaSTa cakSura asa tasya bAla putrasya dhImataH sAmIpyena hRtaM rAjyaM chidre 'samina pUrvavairiNA ॥ 3-278-8 ॥
