यस्य शाखामृगा मित्रा ऋक्षाः कालमुखास तथा जात्यन्तरगता राजन्न एतद बुद्ध्यानुचिन्तय ।। ३-२७६-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Indeed, the allies of Rama (in that contest) were monkeys and black-faced bears, creatures that were not even human! Think of all this, O king, in thy mind!' ।। 3-276-11 ।।

english translation

yasya zAkhAmRgA mitrA RkSAH kAlamukhAsa tathA jAtyantaragatA rAjanna etada buddhyAnucintaya || 3-276-11 ||

तस्मात तवं कुरुशार्दूल माशुचॊ भरतर्षभ तवद्विधा हि महात्मानॊ न शॊचन्ति परंतप ।। ३-२७६-१२ ।।

'Therefore, O foremost of Kurus, grieve not for all that hath occurred, O bull of the Bharata race! Illustrious persons like thee never indulge in sorrow, O smiter of foes!' ।। 3-276-12 ।।

english translation

tasmAta tavaM kuruzArdUla mAzucò bharatarSabha tavadvidhA hi mahAtmAnò na zòcanti paraMtapa || 3-276-12 ||

[वै] एवम आश्वासितॊ राजा मार्कण्डेयेन धीमता तयक्त्वा दुःखम अदीनात्मा पुनर एवेदम अब्रवीत ।। ३-२७६-१३ ।।

'Vaisampayana continued, 'It was thus that the king was comforted by Markandeya. And then that high-souled one, casting off his sorrows, once more spoke unto Markandeya.'' ।। 3-276-13 ।।

english translation

[vai] evama AzvAsitò rAjA mArkaNDeyena dhImatA tayaktvA duHkhama adInAtmA punara evedama abravIta || 3-276-13 ||
