[वै] एवम आश्वासितॊ राजा मार्कण्डेयेन धीमता तयक्त्वा दुःखम अदीनात्मा पुनर एवेदम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-२७६-१३ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'It was thus that the king was comforted by Markandeya. And then that high-souled one, casting off his sorrows, once more spoke unto Markandeya.'' ॥ 3-276-13 ॥
