sanskrit

'And as she rose from the ground, the revered and renowned princess of Videha, surrounded by all those present, spoke these words to Rama, the mighty and broad-chested hero.' ।। 3-275-21 ।।

english translation

tata utthAya vaidehi teSAM madhye yazasvinI uvAca vAkyaM kalyANI rAmaM pRthula vakSasama || 3-275-21 ||

sanskrit

'O prince, I impute no fault to thee, for thou art well-versed in the conduct that one should adopt towards both men and women. Yet, hear these words of mine!' ।। 3-275-22 ।।

अन्तश चरति भूतानां मातरिश्वा सदागतिः स मे विमुञ्चतु पराणान यदि पापं चराम्य अहम ।। ३-२७५-२३ ।।

sanskrit

'The all-pervading wind that moves through all beings, like a mother's presence, is my constant guide. May it release my life, if I have ever committed any sin.' ।। 3-275-23 ।।

'If I have sinned, then let Fire, Water, Space, and Earth—along with the Air, whom I have already invoked—also forsake my vital forces!' ।। 3-275-24 ।।

'And as, O hero, I have never, even in my dreams, cherished the image of any other, so be thou my lord, as ordained by the gods." After Sita had spoken, a divine voice, resounding through the entire region, echoed in the skies, filling the hearts of the noble monkeys with joy.' ।। 3-275-25 ।।

tatò 'natarikSe vAga AsIta sarvA vizrAvayana dizaH puNyA saMharSaNI teSAM vAnarANAM mahAtmanAma || 3-275-25 ||
