स बभूवातिकायाश च बहु पादशिरॊ भुजः तं बरह्मास्त्रेण सौमित्रिर ददाहाद्रिचयॊपमम ॥ ३-२७१-१६ ॥
'At this, the Rakshasa assumed an enormously gigantic form, furnished with numerous heads, arms, and legs. Then, the son of Sumitra, with the Brahmastra, cleaved that warrior, who resembled a mountain range.' ॥ 3-271-16 ॥

sa babhUvAtikAyAza ca bahu pAdazirò bhujaH taM barahmAstreNa saumitrira dadAhAdricayòpamama ॥ 3-271-16 ॥

'Struck by the celestial weapon, the Rakshasa fell to the ground like a massive tree with spreading branches suddenly struck down by a thunderbolt from the heavens.' ॥ 3-271-17 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptतं दृष्ट्वा वृत्र संकाशं कुम्भकर्णं तरस्विनम गतासुं पतितं भूमौ राक्षसाः पराद्रवन भयात ॥ ३-२७१-१८ ॥
'Seeing Kumbhakarna, endowed with great strength and resembling the mighty Asura Vritra, deprived of life and prostrated on the battlefield, the Rakshasa warriors fled in fear.' ॥ 3-271-18 ॥

taM dRSTvA vRtra saMkAzaM kumbhakarNaM tarasvinama gatAsuM patitaM bhUmau rAkSasAH parAdravana bhayAta ॥ 3-271-18 ॥

'Beholding the Rakshasa warriors fleeing from the battlefield, the younger brother of Dushana, rallying them, rushed toward the son of Sumitra in great fury.' ॥ 3-271-19 ॥

'However, Sumitra’s son, with a loud roar, met both of those wrathful warriors, Vajravega and Promathin, with his winged shafts as they charged toward him.' ॥ 3-271-20 ॥
