स मुक्तॊ हर्म्यशिखरात तस्मात पुनर अवापतत लङ्घयित्वा पुरीं लङ्कां सवबलस्य समीपतः ॥ ३-२६८-२१ ॥
'From the golden terrace where he had landed, he took another downward leap. And leaping over the walls of Lanka, he landed where his comrades were stationed.' ॥ 3-268-21 ॥

कॊसलेन्द्रम अथाभ्येत्य सर्वम आवेद्य चाङ्गदः विशश्राम स तेजस्वी राघवेणाभिनन्दितः ॥ ३-२६८-२२ ॥
'And approaching the presence of the Lord of Kosala, Angada, endowed with great energy, informed him of everything. Afterward, he retired to rest, having been dismissed with due respect by Rama.' ॥ 3-268-22 ॥

ततः सर्वाभिसारेण हरीणां वातरंहसाम भेदयाम आस लङ्कायाः पराकारं रघुनन्दनः ॥ ३-२६८-२३ ॥
'The descendant of Raghu, Rama, then caused the ramparts of Lanka to be shattered by a united assault from all the monkeys, who were as swift as the wind.' ॥ 3-268-23 ॥

विभीषणर्क्षाधिपती पुरस्कृत्याथ लक्ष्मणः दक्षिणं नगरद्वारम अवामृद्नाद दुरासदम ॥ ३-२६८-२४ ॥
'Following this, Lakshmana, along with Vibhishana and the king of the bears leading the charge, blew open the southern gate of the city, which had seemed nearly impregnable.' ॥ 3-268-24 ॥

करभारुण गात्राणां हरीणां युद्धशालिनाम कॊटीशतसहस्रेण लङ्काम अभ्यपतत तदा ॥ ३-२६८-२५ ॥
'Rama then launched an assault on Lanka with hundreds of thousands of monkeys, all highly skilled in battle and possessing reddish complexions like that of young camels.' ॥ 3-268-25 ॥
