न चेद दर्शयिता मार्गं धक्ष्याम्य एनम अहं ततः महास्त्रैर अप्रतिहतैर अत्यग्नि पवनॊज्ज्वलैः ।। ३-२६७-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'He will certainly show himself to me. However, if he does not, I will chastise him with my great weapons, more blazing than fire itself and incapable of being thwarted' ।। 3-267-31 ।।

english translation

na ceda darzayitA mArgaM dhakSyAmya enama ahaM tataH mahAstraira apratihataira atyagni pavanòjjvalaiH || 3-267-31 ||

'Having spoken these words, both Rama and Lakshmana touched the water and, according to the proper ritual, laid themselves down on a bed of kusa grass by the seashore.' ।। 3-267-32 ।।

'The divine and illustrious Ocean, the lord of both male and female rivers, surrounded by aquatic creatures, then appeared to Rama in a vision.' ।। 3-267-33 ।।

'O son of Kausalya, tell me, O bull among men, what aid I am to render thee! I too have sprung from the race of Ikshwaku and, therefore, am a relative of thine!' ।। 3-267-35 ।।
