परत्याख्यातॊ ऽपि दुर्मेधाः पुनर एवाब्रवीद वचः ॥ ३-२६५-२६ ॥
'And hearing these cruel words spoken by Sita, the foolish Ravana, though thus rejected, addressed her once more, saying:' ॥ 3-265-26 ॥
english translation
कामम अङ्गानि मे सीते दुनॊतु मकरध्वजः न तवाम अकामां सुश्रॊणीं समेष्ये चारुहासिनीम ॥ ३-२६५-२७ ॥
'O lady, let the god with the Makara emblem torment me severely. However, I will not, on any account, approach you, O you of sweet smiles and beautiful hips, for you are unwilling!' ॥ 3-265-27 ॥
english translation
किं नु शक्यं मया कर्तुं यत तवम अद्यापि मानुषम आहारभूतम अस्माकं रामम एवानुरुध्यसे ॥ ३-२६५-२८ ॥
'What can I do to you, who still holds regard for Rama, a mere human and thus our enemy?' ॥ 3-265-28 ॥

इत्य उक्त्वा ताम अनिन्द्याङ्गीं स राक्षसगणेश्वरः तत्रैवान्तर्हितॊ भूत्वा जगामाभिमतां दिशम ॥ ३-२६५-२९ ॥
'Having spoken these words to the lady of flawless beauty, the king of the Rakshasas made himself invisible and went to a place of his choosing.' ॥ 3-265-29 ॥

राक्षसीभिः परिवृता वैदेही शॊककर्शिता सेव्यमाना तरिजटया तत्रैव नयवसत तदा ॥ ३-२६५-३० ॥
'Meanwhile, Sita, surrounded by the Rakshasa women and treated with kindness by Trijata, continued to live there in sorrow.' ॥ 3-265-30 ॥
