सत्येन धर्मेण यथार्ह वृत्त्या; हरिया तथा सर्वभूतान्य अतीत्य यशश च तेजश च तवापि दीप्तं; विभावसॊर भास्करस्येव पार्थ ॥ ३-२६-१६ ॥
'O son of Pritha, in truth, virtue, proper conduct, and humility, you surpass all creatures. Your fame and radiance shine as brightly as fire or the sun!' ॥ 3-26-16 ॥
english translation
यथाप्रतिज्ञं च महानुभाव; कृच्छ्रं वनेवासम इमं निरुष्य ततः शरियं तेजसा सवेन दीप्ताम; आदास्यसे पार्थिव कौरवेभ्यः ॥ ३-२६-१७ ॥
'Firm in your promises, O illustrious one, having endured your painful exile in the forest, you will once again, O king, reclaim your radiant prosperity from the Kauravas with the help of your own energy!' ॥ 3-26-17 ॥

[वै] तम एवम उक्त्वा वचनं महर्षिस; तपस्विमध्ये सहितं सुहृद्भिः आमन्त्र्य धौम्यं सहितांश च पार्थांस; ततः परतस्थे दिशम उत्तरां सः ॥ ३-२६-१८ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, 'After addressing Yudhishthira, who was seated among the ascetics and his friends, the great Rishi bade farewell to Dhaumya and all the Pandavas. He then set out towards the northern direction.'' ॥ 3-26-18 ॥
