'The king seated himself among them, while the noble princess Krishna entered the hermitage with the two brothers.' ॥ 3-255-51 ॥

भीमार्जुनाव अपि शरुत्वा करॊशमात्रगतं रिपुम सवयम अश्वांस तुदन्तौ तौ जवेनैवाभ्यधावताम ॥ ३-२५५-५२ ॥
'Meanwhile, upon learning that the enemy was just two miles ahead, Bhima and Arjuna spurred their horses forward, racing in swift pursuit.' ॥ 3-255-52 ॥

इदम अत्यद्भुतं चात्र चकार पुरुषॊ ऽरजुनः करॊशमात्रगतान अश्वान सैन्धवस्य जघान यत ॥ ३-२५५-५३ ॥
'And the mighty Arjuna accomplished a remarkable feat—he struck down Jayadratha's horses, though they were two miles ahead.' ॥ 3-255-53 ॥

स हि दिव्यास्त्रसंपन्नः कृच्छ्रकाले ऽपय असंभ्रमः अकरॊद दुष्करं कर्म शरैर अस्त्रानुमन्त्रितैः ॥ ३-२५५-५४ ॥
'Armed with celestial weapons and undeterred by obstacles, he achieved this with arrows imbued with sacred mantras.' ॥ 3-255-54 ॥

ततॊ ऽभयधावतां वीराव उभौ भीम धनंजयौ हताश्वं सैन्धवं भीतम एकं वयाकुलचेतसम ॥ ३-२५५-५५ ॥
