यमाभ्यां सह राजेन्द्र धौम्येन च महात्मना पराप्याश्रमपदं राजन दरौपदीं परिसान्त्वय ॥ ३-२५५-४१ ॥

'Take Draupadi, the twin brothers, and the high-souled Dhaumya with you, and upon reaching our sanctuary, console the princess.' ॥ 3-255-41 ॥

yamAbhyAM saha rAjendra dhaumyena ca mahAtmanA parApyAzramapadaM rAjana daraupadIM parisAntvaya ॥ 3-255-41 ॥

न हि मे मॊक्ष्यते जीवन मूढः सैन्धवकॊ नृपः पातालतलसंस्थॊ ऽपि यदि शक्रॊ ऽसय सारथिः ॥ ३-२५५-४२ ॥

'I shall not spare that foolish king of Sindhu as long as he lives, even if he seeks refuge in the depths of the earth or is supported by Indra himself!' ॥ 3-255-42 ॥

na hi me mòkSyate jIvana mUDhaH saindhavakò nRpaH pAtAlatalasaMsthò 'pi yadi zakrò 'saya sArathiH ॥ 3-255-42 ॥

[य] न हन्तव्यॊ महाबाहॊ दुरात्मापि स सैन्धवः उःशलाम अभिसंस्मृत्य गान्धारीं च यशस्विनीम ॥ ३-२५५-४३ ॥

'And Yudhishthira replied, 'O mighty-armed one, remembering our sister Dussala and the revered Gandhari, you should not slay the king of Sindhu, even though he is so wicked!'' ॥ 3-255-43 ॥

[वै] तच छरुत्वा दरौपदी भीमम उवाच वयाकुलेन्द्रिया कुपिता हरीमती पराज्ञा पती भीमार्जुनाव उभौ ॥ ३-२५५-४४ ॥

'Vaisampayana continued, "Hearing these words, Draupadi was greatly agitated. In her excitement, the wise and noble lady, with a mix of indignation and modesty, spoke to her two husbands, Bhima and Arjuna, saying;"' ॥ 3-255-44 ॥

कर्तव्यं चेत परियं मह्यं वध्यः स पुरुषाधमः सैन्धवापसदः पापॊ दुर्मतिः कुलपांसनः ॥ ३-२५५-४५ ॥

'If you wish to do what pleases me, you must slay that vile and despicable wretch, that sinful, foolish, infamous, and contemptible chief of the Saindhava clan!' ॥ 3-255-45 ॥
