सव्यसाची तु तं दृष्ट्वा पलायन्तं जयद्रथम वारयाम आस निघ्नन्तं भीमं सैन्धव सैनिकान ॥ ३-२५५-३६ ॥
'However, upon seeing that Jayadratha had escaped, Arjuna urged his brother to desist from slaughtering the remaining Saindhava forces.' ॥ 3-255-36 ॥
english translation
[अर्ज] यस्यापचारात पराप्तॊ ऽयम अस्मान कलेशॊ दुरासदः तम अस्मिन समरॊद्देशे न पश्यामि जयद्रथम ॥ ३-२५५-३७ ॥
'And Arjuna said, 'I do not see Jayadratha on the battlefield, through whose fault alone we have suffered this bitter misfortune.'' ॥ 3-255-37 ॥
english translation
तम एवान्विष भद्रं ते किं ते यॊधैर निपातितैः अनामिषम इदं कर्म कथं वा मन्यते भवान ॥ ३-२५५-३८ ॥
'First, seek him out, and may success attend your efforts! What good is there in slaying these soldiers? Why are you so determined on this unprofitable task?' ॥ 3-255-38 ॥
english translation
[वै] इत्य उक्तॊ भीमसेनस तु गुडाकेशेन धीमता युधिष्ठिरम अभिप्रेक्ष्य वाग्मी वचनम अब्रवीत ॥ ३-२५५-३९ ॥
'Thus addressed, Bhima, the son of Kunti, looking towards Yudhishthira, spoke the following words, his speech full of resolve, to the wise Gudakesha (Arjuna).' ॥ 3-255-39 ॥

हतप्रवीरा रिपवॊ भूयिष्ठं विद्रुता दिशः गृहीत्वा दरौपदीं राजन निवर्ततु भवान इतः ॥ ३-२५५-४० ॥
'Since many of the enemy’s warriors have been slain and they are now fleeing in all directions, O King, take Draupadi with you and return from here.' ॥ 3-255-40 ॥
