विमुखं हतसूतं तं भीमः परहरतां वरः जघान तलयुक्तेन परासेनाभ्येत्य पाण्डवः ॥ ३-२५५-२६ ॥

'Seeing the prince, now without a charioteer, turn his back, Bhima, the foremost of warriors, closed in and struck him down with a bearded dart.' ।। 3-255-26 ।।

vimukhaM hatasUtaM taM bhImaH paraharatAM varaH jaghAna talayuktena parAsenAbhyetya pANDavaH ॥ 3-255-26 ॥

दवादशानां तु सर्वेषां सौवीराणां धनंजयः चकर्त निषितैर भल्लैर धनूंषि च शिरांसि च ॥ ३-२५५-२७ ॥

'And Dhananjaya, with his sharp crescent-shaped arrows, swiftly cut off both the bows and heads of all twelve foremost Sauvira warriors.' ।। 3-255-27 ।।

davAdazAnAM tu sarveSAM sauvIrANAM dhanaMjayaH cakarta niSitaira bhallaira dhanUMSi ca zirAMsi ca ॥ 3-255-27 ॥

शिबीन इक्ष्वाकुमुख्यांश च तरिगर्तान सैधवान अपि जघानातिरथः संख्ये बाणगॊचरम आगतान ॥ ३-२५५-२८ ॥

'And that great warrior, with his arrows, slew in battle the leaders of the Ikshvakus, along with the hosts of the Shibis, Trigartas, and Saindhavas.' ।। 3-255-28 ।।

zibIna ikSvAkumukhyAMza ca tarigartAna saidhavAna api jaghAnAtirathaH saMkhye bANagòcarama AgatAna ॥ 3-255-28 ॥

सादिताः परत्यदृश्यन्त बहवः सव्यसाचिना सपताकाश च मातङ्गाः साद्वजाश च महारथाः ॥ ३-२५५-२९ ॥

'Many elephants adorned with banners and chariots bearing lofty standards were seen to fall by the hand of Arjuna.' ।। 3-255-29 ।।

sAditAH paratyadRzyanta bahavaH savyasAcinA sapatAkAza ca mAtaGgAH sAdvajAza ca mahArathAH ॥ 3-255-29 ॥

परच्छाद्य पृथिवीं तस्थुः सर्वम आयॊधनं परति शरीराण्य अशिरस्कानि विदेहानि शिरांसि च ॥ ३-२५५-३० ॥

'They covered the Earth with a veil, and all the weapons turned towards them. The bodies without heads, the disembodied souls, and the severed heads remained.' ।। 3-255-30 ।।
