[वै] ततः पार्थाः पञ्च पञ्चेन्द्र कल्पास; तयक्त्वा तरस्तान पराञ्जलींस तान पदातीन रथानीकं शरवर्षान्ध कारं; चक्रुः करुद्धः सर्वतः संनिगृह्य ॥ ३-२५४-२१ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued: Then the five sons of Pritha, each like Indra himself, filled with wrath, spared the panic-stricken infantry who begged for mercy and charged furiously upon the charioteers, assailing them from all sides, shrouding the very sky with a relentless storm of arrows.' ॥ 3-254-21 ॥
