युधिष्ठिरॊ भीमसेनार्जुनौ च; माद्र्याश च पुत्रौ पुरुषप्रवीरौ ते मां निवेश्येह दिशश चतस्रॊ; विभज्य पार्था मृगयां परयाताः ॥ ३-२५०-६ ॥

'Those noble ones—Yudhishthira, Bhīmasena, Arjuna, And the two sons of Mādrī— Having left me here and assigned themselves The four quarters of the horizon, have set out for the hunt.' ॥ 3-250-6 ॥

yudhiSThirò bhImasenArjunau ca; mAdryAza ca putrau puruSapravIrau te mAM nivezyeha dizaza catasrò; vibhajya pArthA mRgayAM parayAtAH ॥ 3-250-6 ॥

पराचीं राजा दक्षिणां भीमसेनॊ; जयः परतीचीं यमजाव उदीचीम मन्ये तु तेषां रथसत्तमानां; कालॊ ऽभितः पराप्त इहॊपयातुम ॥ ३-२५०-७ ॥

'The king (Yudhishthira) went east, Bhīmasena to the south, Arjuna westward, and the twin sons of Mādrī to the north. But now, I believe, the time has come For those mighty warriors to return here.' ॥ 3-250-7 ॥

parAcIM rAjA dakSiNAM bhImasenò; jayaH paratIcIM yamajAva udIcIma manye tu teSAM rathasattamAnAM; kAlò 'bhitaH parApta ihòpayAtuma ॥ 3-250-7 ॥

संमानिता यास्यथ तैर यथेष्टं; विमुच्य वाहान अवगाहयध्वम परियातिथिर धर्मसुतॊ महात्मा; परीतॊ भविष्यत्य अभिवीक्ष्य युष्मान ॥ ३-२५०-८ ॥

'So now, descend from your chariots and dismiss them, That you may depart after receiving their due welcome. The high-souled son of Dharma is fond of guests And will surely be delighted to see you!' ॥ 3-250-8 ॥

saMmAnitA yAsyatha taira yatheSTaM; vimucya vAhAna avagAhayadhvama pariyAtithira dharmasutò mahAtmA; parItò bhaviSyatya abhivIkSya yuSmAna ॥ 3-250-8 ॥

'Having spoken thus to Śaibya’s son, The daughter of Drupada, her face as radiant as the moon, Mindful of her husband's virtue of hospitality, Entered her spacious cottage.' ॥ 3-250-9 ॥

etAvada uktvA darupadAtmajA sA; zaibyAtmajaM candra mukhI paratItA viveza tAM parNakuTIM parazastAM; saMcintya teSAma atithisvadharmama ॥ 3-250-9 ॥
