तम अब्रवीत तदा कर्णः शृणु मे राजकुञ्जर पादौ न धावये तावद यावन न निहतॊ ऽरजुनः ॥ ३-२४३-१५ ॥
'Then Karna spoke, saying, 'Listen, O lion among kings! As long as I do not slay Arjuna, I shall neither allow anyone to wash my feet nor shall I partake of meat.'' ॥ 3-243-15 ॥
