न हय अहं परतियास्यामि पुरं शत्रुनिराकृतः शत्रुमानापहॊ भूत्वा सुहृदां मानकृत तथा ॥ ३-२३८-१२ ॥

sanskrit

'Insulted by the enemy, I shall not return there. I, who once stripped my foes of their respect, and who had always elevated the honor of my friends.' ॥ 3-238-12 ॥

english translation

na haya ahaM paratiyAsyAmi puraM zatrunirAkRtaH zatrumAnApahò bhUtvA suhRdAM mAnakRta tathA ॥ 3-238-12 ॥
