एष दुर्यॊधनॊ राजा धार्तराष्ट्रः सहानुजः सामात्यदारॊ हरियते गन्धर्वैर दिवम आस्थितैः ॥ ३-२३७-६ ॥
'Having approached them, they said, 'Here is King Duryodhana, the son of Dhritarashtra, who, along with his younger brothers, friends, and wives, is being taken captive by the Gandharvas through the sky."' ॥ 3-237-6 ॥
english translation
तं मॊक्षयत भद्रं वः सह दारं नराधिपम परामर्शॊ मा भविष्यत कुरु दारेषु सर्वशः ॥ ३-२३७-७ ॥
'Blessed be you. Please liberate the king along with the women of the royal household! Allow no insult to befall any of the ladies of the Kuru race.' ॥ 3-237-7 ॥

एवम उक्ते तु धर्मात्मा जयेष्ठः पाण्डुसुतस तदा परसाद्य सॊदरान सर्वान आज्ञापयत मॊक्षणे ॥ ३-२३७-८ ॥
'After they had spoken thus, the eldest son of Pandu, endowed with a virtuous soul, then appeased his brothers and commanded them to set us free.' ॥ 3-237-8 ॥

अथागम्य तम उद्देशं पाण्डवाः पुरुषर्षभाः सान्त्वपूर्वम अयाचन्त शक्ताः सन्तॊ महारथाः ॥ ३-२३७-९ ॥
'Then, those foremost of men, the Pandavas, overtaking the Gandharvas, requested our release with gentle words, though fully capable of achieving it through force of arms.' ॥ 3-237-9 ॥

यदा चास्मान न मुमुचुर गन्धर्वाः सान्त्विता अपि ततॊ ऽरजुनश च भीमश च यमजौ च बलॊत्कटौ मुमुचुः शरवर्षाणि गन्धर्वान परत्यनेकशः ॥ ३-२३७-१० ॥
'When the Gandharvas, addressed in such conciliatory terms, refused to set us free, Arjuna, Bhima, and the twins, endowed with mighty strength, unleashed a shower of arrows upon them.' ॥ 3-237-10 ॥
