तान उत्पतिष्णून बुद्ध्वा तु कुन्तीपुत्रॊ धनंजयः महता शरजालेन समन्तात पर्यवारयत ॥ ३-२३४-११ ॥
'Seeing them rise into the skies, Dhananjaya, the son of Kunti, enclosed them on all sides with a vast net of arrows.' ॥ 3-234-11 ॥
english translation
tAna utpatiSNUna buddhvA tu kuntIputrò dhanaMjayaH mahatA zarajAlena samantAta paryavArayata ॥ 3-234-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptते बद्धाः शरजालेन शकुन्ता इव पञ्जरे ववर्षुर अर्जुनं करॊधाद गदा शक्त्यृष्टि वृष्टिभिः ॥ ३-२३४-१२ ॥
'Confined within the net of arrows, like birds in a cage, they rained down upon Arjuna in wrath with maces, darts, and broad swords.' ॥ 3-234-12 ॥

te baddhAH zarajAlena zakuntA iva paJjare vavarSura arjunaM karòdhAda gadA zaktyRSTi vRSTibhiH ॥ 3-234-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगदा शक्त्यसि वृष्टीस ता निहत्य स महास्त्रवित गात्राणि चाहनद भल्लैर गन्धर्वाणां धनंजयः ॥ ३-२३४-१३ ॥
'Arjuna, skilled in the use of the most potent weapons, quickly countered the shower of maces, darts, and broad swords. In retaliation, he began to strike the limbs of the Gandharvas with his crescent-shaped arrows, causing great havoc.' ॥ 3-234-13 ॥

gadA zaktyasi vRSTIsa tA nihatya sa mahAstravita gAtrANi cAhanada bhallaira gandharvANAM dhanaMjayaH ॥ 3-234-13 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिरॊभिः परपतद भिश च चरणैर बाहुभिस तथा अश्मवृष्टिर इवाभाति परेषाम अभवद भयम ॥ ३-२३४-१४ ॥
'Heads, legs, and arms began to fall from above, resembling a shower of stones. At the sight of this, the enemy was seized with panic.' ॥ 3-234-14 ॥

'As the Gandharvas were being slaughtered by the illustrious son of Pandu, they unleashed a heavy downpour of arrows from the sky upon Arjuna, who stood on the earth.' ॥ 3-234-15 ॥
