परियदर्शनॊ महाबाहुर धार्तराष्ट्रॊ महाबलः गन्धर्वैर हरियते राजा पार्थास तम अनुधावत ॥ ३-२३१-११ ॥
'After Duryodhana was taken captive, all his possessions—including the vehicles, shops, pavilions, carriages, and draft animals—were entrusted to the protection of the Pandavas.' ॥ 3-231-11 ॥
english translation
दुःशासनॊ दुर्विषहॊ दुर्मुखॊ दुर्जयस तथा बद्ध्वा हरियन्ते गन्धर्वै राजदाराश च सर्वशः ॥ ३-२३१-१२ ॥
'You sons of Pritha, follow them! Dushasana, Durvishasa, Durmukha, and Durjaya are all being taken away as captives in chains by the Gandharvas, along with all the ladies of the royal household!’' ॥ 3-231-12 ॥
english translation
इति दुर्यॊधनामात्याः करॊशन्तॊ राजगृद्धिनः आर्ता दीनस्वराः सर्वे युधिष्ठिरम उपागमन ॥ ३-२३१-१३ ॥
'Crying in this manner, the followers of Duryodhana, overwhelmed with grief and sorrow, approached Yudhishthira, hoping to secure the release of their king.' ॥ 3-231-13 ॥

तांस तथा वयथितान दीनान भिक्षमाणान युधिष्ठिरम वृद्धान दुर्यॊधनामात्यान भिमसेनॊ ऽभयभाषत ॥ ३-२३१-१४ ॥
'To those who were thus distressed, miserable, and begging Yudhishthira for help - those elderly ministers of Duryodhana - Bhimasena spoke.' ॥ 3-231-14 ॥

अन्यथा वर्तमानानाम अर्थॊ जातायम अन्यथा अस्माभिर यद अनुष्ठेयं गन्धर्वैस तद अनुष्ठितम ॥ ३-२३१-१५ ॥
'What we should have accomplished with great effort—by arranging ourselves in battle formation, supported by horses and elephants—has indeed been carried out by the Gandharvas!' ॥ 3-231-15 ॥
