कथं नु वातातपकर्शिताङ्गॊ; वृकॊदरः कॊपपरिप्लुताङ्गः शेते पृथिव्याम अतथॊचिताङ्गः; कृष्णा समक्षं वसुधातलस्थः ॥ ३-२२५-११ ॥
'How is Vrikodara (Bhima), with his body scorched by wind and heat, his limbs overwhelmed by anger, lying on the ground in an unseemly manner, in the presence of Krishna, on the surface of the earth?' ॥ 3-225-11 ॥
english translation
तथार्जुनः सुकुमारॊ मनस्वी; वशे सथितॊ धर्मसुतस्य राज्ञः विदूयमानैर इव सर्ग गात्रैर; धरुवं न शेते वसतीर अमर्षात ॥ ३-२२५-१२ ॥
'Perhaps even Arjuna, the wise and incapable of enduring pain, though obedient to Yudhishthira's will, is pierced by the memory of his wrongs and does not sleep at night!' ॥ 3-225-12 ॥
english translation
यमौ च कृष्णां च युधिष्ठिरं च; भीमं च दृष्ट्वा सुखविप्रयुक्तान विनिःश्वसन सर्प इवॊग्रतेजा; धरुवं न शेते वसतीर अमर्षात ॥ ३-२२५-१३ ॥
'Beholding the twins, Krishna, Yudhishthira, and Bhima, all plunged in misery, Arjuna, without doubt, sighs like a serpent of fierce energy, and, filled with wrath, sleeps not through the night!' ॥ 3-225-13 ॥

तथा यमौ चाप्य असुखौ सुखार्हौ; समृद्धरूपाव अमरौ दिवीव परजागरस्थौ धरुवम अप्रशान्तौ; धर्मेण सत्येन च वार्यमाणौ ॥ ३-२२५-१४ ॥
'The twins, like a pair of blessed celestials in heaven, though deserving of bliss, are sunk in woe. Without doubt, they pass their nights in restless wakefulness, restrained from avenging their wrongs by virtue and truth!' ॥ 3-225-14 ॥

समीरणेनापि समॊ बलेन; समीरणस्यैव सुतॊ बलीयान स धर्मपाशेन सितॊग्र तेजा; धरुवं विनिःश्वस्य सहत्य अमर्षम ॥ ३-२२५-१५ ॥
'The mighty son of the Wind-god, equal to the Wind-god himself in strength, sighs and restrains his wrath, bound by the bonds of truth through his elder brother!' ॥ 3-225-15 ॥
