जयतैनान सुदुर्वृत्तान दानवान घॊरदर्शनान अभिद्रवत भद्रं वॊ मया सह महासुरान ॥ ३-२२१-४१ ॥

'You will defeat those wicked and fearsome Danavas. May victory be yours! Join me in the assault on the Danavas!' ।। 3-221-41 ।।

english translation

jayatainAna sudurvRttAna dAnavAna ghòradarzanAna abhidravata bhadraM vò mayA saha mahAsurAna ॥ 3-221-41 ॥

शक्रस्य वचनं शरुत्वा समाश्वस्ता दिवौकसः दानवान परत्ययुध्यन्त शक्रं कृत्वा वयपाश्रयम ॥ ३-२२१-४२ ॥

'The dwellers of heaven were reassured upon hearing this speech from Sakra; and, under his leadership, they charged once more against the Danavas.' ।। 3-221-42 ।।

english translation

zakrasya vacanaM zarutvA samAzvastA divaukasaH dAnavAna paratyayudhyanta zakraM kRtvA vayapAzrayama ॥ 3-221-42 ॥

ततस ते तरिदशाः सर्वे मरुतश च महाबलाः परत्युद्ययुर महावेगाः साध्याश च वसुभिः सह ॥ ३-२२१-४३ ॥

'Then, the thirty-three crores of gods, along with the powerful Marutas, the Sadhyas, and the Vasus, returned to the fray.' ।। 3-221-43 ।।

english translation

tatasa te taridazAH sarve marutaza ca mahAbalAH paratyudyayura mahAvegAH sAdhyAza ca vasubhiH saha ॥ 3-221-43 ॥

तैर विसृष्टान्य अनीकेषु करुद्धैः शस्त्राणि संयुगे शराश च दैत्य कायेषु पिबन्ति समासृग उल्बणम ॥ ३-२२१-४४ ॥

'The arrows they fiercely released caused a great spill of blood from the bodies of the Daityas, as well as from their horses and elephants.' ।। 3-221-44 ।।

taira visRSTAnya anIkeSu karuddhaiH zastrANi saMyuge zarAza ca daitya kAyeSu pibanti samAsRga ulbaNama ॥ 3-221-44 ॥

तेषां देहान विनिर्भिद्य शरास ते निशितास तदा निष्पतन्तॊ अदृश्यन्त नगेभ्य इव पन्नगाः ॥ ३-२२१-४५ ॥

'And those sharp arrows, passing through their bodies, fell to the ground, resembling serpents tumbling down the sides of a hill.' ।। 3-221-45 ।।

teSAM dehAna vinirbhidya zarAsa te nizitAsa tadA niSpatantò adRzyanta nagebhya iva pannagAH ॥ 3-221-45 ॥
