इमे तव अष्टादशान्ये वै गरहा मांसमधु परियाः दविपञ्चरात्रं तिष्ठन्ति सततं सूतिका गृहे ।। ३-२१९-३५ ।।

sanskrit

'Those who desire to have children bow down to her, who resides in the Karanja tree. These eighteen evil spirits, fond of meat and wine, along with others of the same kind, invariably dwell in the lying-in-room for ten days.' ।। 3-219-35 ।।

english translation

ime tava aSTAdazAnye vai garahA mAMsamadhu pariyAH davipaJcarAtraM tiSThanti satataM sUtikA gRhe || 3-219-35 ||
