स भविष्यति सेनानीस तवया सह शतक्रतॊ अस्या देव्याः पतिश चैव स भविष्यति वीर्यवान ।। ३-२१३-३६ ।।

'That powerful being will be the husband of this lady and, together with you, the leader of your forces.' ।। 3-213-36 ।।

english translation

sa bhaviSyati senAnIsa tavayA saha zatakratò asyA devyAH patiza caiva sa bhaviSyati vIryavAna || 3-213-36 ||

[मार्क] एतच छरुत्वा नमस तस्मै कृत्वासौ सह कन्यया तत्राभ्यगच्छद देवेन्द्रॊ यत्र देवर्षयॊ ऽभवन वसिष्ठप्रमुखा मुख्या विप्रेन्द्राः सुमहाव्रताः ।। ३-२१३-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'Thus addressed, the lord of the celestials and the lady bowed to him and proceeded to the place where the great Brahmanas, the powerful celestial Rishis like Vasistha and others, resided.' ।। 3-213-37 ।।

english translation

[mArka] etaca charutvA namasa tasmai kRtvAsau saha kanyayA tatrAbhyagacchada devendrò yatra devarSayò 'bhavana vasiSThapramukhA mukhyA viprendrAH sumahAvratAH || 3-213-37 ||

भागार्थं तपसॊपात्तं तेषां सॊमं तथाध्वरे पिपासवॊ ययुर देवाः शतक्रतु पुरॊगमाः ।। ३-२१३-३८ ।।

sanskrit

'Led by Indra, the other gods, eager to partake of the Soma beverage, also went to the sacrifices of these Rishis to receive their allotted share of the offerings.' ।। 3-213-38 ।।

bhAgArthaM tapasòpAttaM teSAM sòmaM tathAdhvare pipAsavò yayura devAH zatakratu purògamAH || 3-213-38 ||

इष्टिं कृत्वा यथान्यायं सुसमिद्धे हुताशने जुहुवुस ते महात्मानॊ हव्यं सर्वदिवौकसाम ।। ३-२१३-३९ ।।

'Having duly performed the ceremonies with the bright, blazing fire, those great-minded beings offered oblations to the celestials.' ।। 3-213-39 ।।

iSTiM kRtvA yathAnyAyaM susamiddhe hutAzane juhuvusa te mahAtmAnò havyaM sarvadivaukasAma || 3-213-39 ||

समाहूतॊ हुतवहः सॊ ऽदभुतः सूर्यमण्डलात विनिःसृत्याययौ वह्निर वाग्यतॊ विधिवत परभुः आगम्याहवनीयं वै तैर दविजैर मन्त्रतॊ हुतम ।। ३-२१३-४० ।।

sanskrit

'The wondrous fire, the bearer of offerings, was invoked with mantras. Emerging from the solar disc, that lordly fire proceeded there, keeping silence. And, O chief of the Bharata race, that fire, entering the sacrificial flame kindled by the Rishis, who offered various oblations while reciting hymns.' ।। 3-213-40 ।।

samAhUtò hutavahaH sò 'dabhutaH sUryamaNDalAta viniHsRtyAyayau vahnira vAgyatò vidhivata parabhuH AgamyAhavanIyaM vai taira davijaira mantratò hutama || 3-213-40 ||
