दशवर्षसहस्राणि तपस तप्त्वा महातपाः जनयत पावकं घॊरं पितॄणां स परजाः सृजन ॥ ३-२१०-६ ॥
'After performing penance for ten thousand years, that being of great ascetic merit brought forth the terrible fire associated with the Pitris (manes) to commence the work of creation.' ॥ 3-210-6 ॥

बृहद्रथंतरं मूर्ध्नॊ वक्त्राच च तरसा हरौ शिवं नाभ्यां बलाद इन्द्रं वाय्वग्नी पराणतॊ ऽसृजत ॥ ३-२१०-७ ॥
'From his head and mouth, respectively, he created Vrihat and Rathantara (day and night), who swiftly consume life and all that is. He also created Shiva from his navel, Indra from his might, and the wind and fire from his soul.' ॥ 3-210-7 ॥

बाहुभ्याम अनुदात्तौ च विश्वे भूतानि चैव ह एतान सृष्ट्वा ततः पञ्च पितॄणाम असृजत सुतान ॥ ३-२१०-८ ॥
'From his two arms, the hymns Udatta and Anudatta were born. He also created the mind, the five senses, and other creatures.' ॥ 3-210-8 ॥

बृहदूर्जस्य परणिधिः काश्यपस्य बृहत्तरः भानुर अङ्गिरसॊ वीरः पुत्रॊ वर्चस्य सौभरः ॥ ३-२१०-९ ॥
'The son of Kasyapa, Brhadurjasa, was the mighty repository of strength. The brilliant Bhanu, the heroic son of Angiras, surpassed even the illustrious Soubhari in radiance.' ॥ 3-210-9 ॥

पराणस्य चानुदात्तश च वयाख्याताः पञ्च वंशजाः देवान यज्ञमुषश चान्यान सृजन पञ्चदशॊत्तरान ॥ ३-२१०-१० ॥
'The five descendants of Prana, along with the subdued (others), have been described. They created the gods, the performers of sacrifices, and others, along with the additional fifteen descendants.' ॥ 3-210-10 ॥
