बृहद्रथंतरं मूर्ध्नॊ वक्त्राच च तरसा हरौ शिवं नाभ्यां बलाद इन्द्रं वाय्वग्नी पराणतॊ ऽसृजत ॥ ३-२१०-७ ॥
'From his head and mouth, respectively, he created Vrihat and Rathantara (day and night), who swiftly consume life and all that is. He also created Shiva from his navel, Indra from his might, and the wind and fire from his soul.' ॥ 3-210-7 ॥
