तैः परहृष्टात्मभिर वीरैर आशीर्भिर अभिनन्दितः वाचयित्वा दविजश्रेष्ठान परणम्य शिरसाहुकम ॥ ३-२१-११ ॥
'Receiving their blessings with glad hearts and causing the Brahmanas to utter auspicious words, I bowed to the best of the regenerate ones and to Siva.' ॥ 3-21-11 ॥
english translation
taiH parahRSTAtmabhira vIraira AzIrbhira abhinanditaH vAcayitvA davijazreSThAna paraNamya zirasAhukama ॥ 3-21-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसैन्यसुग्रीव युक्तेन रथेनानादयन दिशः परध्माप्य शङ्खप्रवरं पाञ्चजन्यम अहं नृप ॥ ३-२१-१२ ॥
'Then, with the horses Saivya and Sugriva yoked to my chariot, and filling the air with the clatter of my wheels and the sound of my conch, the Panchajanya, I set out.' ॥ 3-21-12 ॥

sainyasugrIva yuktena rathenAnAdayana dizaH paradhmApya zaGkhapravaraM pAJcajanyama ahaM nRpa ॥ 3-21-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपरयातॊ ऽसमि नरव्याघ्र बलेन महता वृतः कॢप्तेन चतुरङ्गेण बलेन जितकाशिना ॥ ३-२१-१३ ॥
'Accompanied by my renowned and victorious army, comprising all four divisions of the forces and resolute in battle, I began my journey.' ॥ 3-21-13 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptसमतीत्य बहून देशान गिरींश च बहुपादपान सरांसि सरितश चैव मार्तिकावतम आसदम ॥ ३-२१-१४ ॥
'And leaving behind many lands, mountains crowned with trees, bodies of water, and rivers, I finally arrived at the country of Matrikavarta.' ॥ 3-21-14 ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत्राश्रौषं नरव्याघ्र शाल्वं नगरम अन्तिकात परयातं सौभम आस्थाय तम अहं पृष्ठतॊ ऽनवयाम ॥ ३-२१-१५ ॥
'There, O foremost of men, I learned that Salwa was roaming on his car of precious metals near the ocean, and I followed in pursuit.' ॥ 3-21-15 ॥
