आश्रमस्थॊ महाभागॊ हव्यवाहं विशेषयन तथा स भूत्वा तु तदा जगत सर्वं परकाशयन ।। ३-२०७-८ ।।

sanskrit

'In ancient times, O long-armed hero, the great Angiras performed a remarkable penance in his hermitage; he even surpassed the fire-god, the carrier of oblations, in brilliance. In that state, he illuminated the entire universe.' ।। 3-207-8 ।।

english translation

Azramasthò mahAbhAgò havyavAhaM vizeSayana tathA sa bhUtvA tu tadA jagata sarvaM parakAzayana || 3-207-8 ||
