आकिंचन्यं सुसंतॊषॊ निराशित्वम अचापलम एतद एव परं जञानं सद आत्मज्ञानम उत्तमम ॥ ३-२०३-४६ ॥

'Self-abnegation, peace of mind, renunciation of desires, and equanimity—these are the paths through which spiritual enlightenment can always be attained. And the knowledge of the self, or one's own spiritual nature, is the highest form of knowledge.' ॥ 3-203-46 ॥

english translation

परिग्रहं परित्यज्य भव बुद्ध्या यतव्रतः अशॊकं सथानम आतिष्ठेन निश्चलं परेत्य चेह च ॥ ३-२०३-४७ ॥

'In this world and the next, by renouncing all worldly desires and adopting a stoic indifference, where all suffering finds cessation, one should perform their religious duties with the guidance of intellect.' ॥ 3-203-47 ॥

english translation

तपॊनित्येन दान्तेन मुनिना संतयात्मना अजितं जेतुकामेन भाव्यं सङ्गेष्व असङ्गिना ॥ ३-२०३-४८ ॥

'The sage (muni) who seeks to attain moksha, which is difficult to achieve, must persist in austerities, practice patience, exercise self-control, and relinquish the attachment that binds them to the earthly things.' ॥ 3-203-48 ॥

english translation

गुणागुणम अनासङ्गम एककार्यम अनन्तरम एतद बराह्मण ते वृत्तम आहुर एकपदं सुखम ॥ ३-२०३-४९ ॥

'Free from attachment to qualities and non-qualities (gunas and agunas), focused on one purpose, uninterrupted - this conduct, O Brahmana, they call the one-pointed path to happiness.' ॥ 3-203-49 ॥

english translation

परित्यजति यॊ दुःखं सुखं चाप्य उभयं नरः बरह्म पराप्नॊति सॊ ऽतयन्तम असङ्गेन च गच्छति ॥ ३-२०३-५० ॥

'By renouncing both pleasure and pain, and relinquishing the attachments that bind him to the material world, a person can attain Brahman, the Supreme Spirit, or salvation.' ॥ 3-203-50 ॥
