आनृशंस्यं परॊ धर्मः कषमा च परमं बलम आत्मज्ञानं परं जञानं परं सत्यव्रतं वरतम ॥ ३-२०३-४१ ॥
'The most excellent virtue is leniency, and forbearance stands as the greatest of powers. The knowledge of one's spiritual essence is the highest form of knowledge, and truthfulness is the most sacred of duties.' ॥ 3-203-41 ॥
english translation
सत्यस्य वचनं शरेयॊ सत्यं जञानं हितं भवेत यद भूतहितम अत्यन्तं तद वै सत्यं परं मतम ॥ ३-२०३-४२ ॥
'While telling the truth is beneficial, and understanding the truth is valuable, the greatest good for all beings is known as the ultimate truth.' ॥ 3-203-42 ॥
english translation
यस्य सर्वे समारम्भा निराशीर बन्धनाः सदा तवागे यस्य हुतं सर्वं स तयागी स च बुद्धिमान ॥ ३-२०३-४३ ॥
'He who performs actions without any desire for reward or blessing, and has dedicated all to the principles of renunciation, is a true Sannyasin and truly wise.' ॥ 3-203-43 ॥

यतॊ न गुरुर अप्य एनं चयावयेद उपपादयन तं विद्याद बरह्मणॊ यॊगं वियॊगं यॊगसंज्ञितम ॥ ३-२०३-४४ ॥
'Since communion with Brahman cannot be directly taught to us, even by our spiritual preceptor—who only provides a hint to the mystery—renunciation of the material world is considered Yoga.' ॥ 3-203-44 ॥
english translation
न हिंस्यात सर्वभूतानि मैत्रायण गतश चरेत नेदं जीवितम आसाद्य वैरं कुर्वीत केन चित ॥ ३-२०३-४५ ॥
'We must not harm any creature and must live in amity with all. In this current life, we must not seek revenge on anyone.' ॥ 3-203-45 ॥
