[वयध] मूर्धानम आश्रितॊ वह्निः शरीरं परिपालयन पराणॊ मूर्धनि चाग्नौ च वर्तमानॊ विचेष्टते भूतं भव्यं भविष्यच च सर्वं पराणे परतिष्ठितम ।। ३-२०३-१५ ।।

sanskrit

'The fowler said: "The vital spirit, manifesting in the seat of consciousness, causes the actions of the corporeal frame. The soul, present in both, acts through them. The past, present, and future are all inseparably connected with the soul."' ।। 3-203-15 ।।

english translation

[vayadha] mUrdhAnama Azritò vahniH zarIraM paripAlayana parANò mUrdhani cAgnau ca vartamAnò viceSTate bhUtaM bhavyaM bhaviSyaca ca sarvaM parANe paratiSThitama || 3-203-15 ||
