यस तव एतान परज्ञया दॊषान पूर्वम एवानुपश्यति कुशलः सुखदुःखेषु साधूंश चाप्य उपसेवते तस्य साधु समारम्भाद बुद्धिर धर्मेषु जायते ।। ३-२०१-११ ।।

sanskrit

'Through his spiritual insight, he discerns these evils and is able to distinguish between happiness and misery. He shows respectful attention to virtuous people, and by practicing righteousness, his mind becomes naturally inclined toward virtue.' ।। 3-201-11 ।।

english translation

yasa tava etAna parajJayA dòSAna pUrvama evAnupazyati kuzalaH sukhaduHkheSu sAdhUMza cApya upasevate tasya sAdhu samArambhAda buddhira dharmeSu jAyate || 3-201-11 ||

[बरा] बरवीसि सूनृतं धर्मं यस्य वक्ता न विद्यते दिव्यप्रभावः सुमहान ऋषिर एव मतॊ ऽसि मे ।। ३-२०१-१२ ।।

sanskrit

'The Brahmana replied, "You have provided a true exposition of religion, which no one else can articulate. Your spiritual power is immense, and you seem to me to be akin to a great Rishi." ' ।। 3-201-12 ।।

english translation

[barA] baravIsi sUnRtaM dharmaM yasya vaktA na vidyate divyaprabhAvaH sumahAna RSira eva matò 'si me || 3-201-12 ||

[वयध] बराह्मणा वै महाभागाः पितरॊ ऽगरभुजः सदा तेषां सर्वात्मना कार्यं परियं लॊके मनीषिणा ।। ३-२०१-१३ ।।

sanskrit

'The fowler replied, "The great Brahmanas are revered with the same honors as our ancestors, and they are always offered food before anyone else. In this world, wise men devote themselves wholeheartedly to actions that are pleasing to them."' ।। 3-201-13 ।।

english translation

[vayadha] barAhmaNA vai mahAbhAgAH pitarò 'garabhujaH sadA teSAM sarvAtmanA kAryaM pariyaM lòke manISiNA || 3-201-13 ||

sanskrit

'And, O noble Brahmana, after bowing down to the Brahmanas as a whole, I shall describe to you what is pleasing to them. Do learn from me the philosophy of the Brahmanas.' ।। 3-201-14 ।।

english translation

yata teSAM ca pariyaM tata te vakSyAmi davijasattama namaskRtvA barAhmaNebhyò barAhmIM vidyAM nibòdha me || 3-201-14 ||

इदं विश्वं जगत सर्वम अजय्यं चापि सर्वशः महाभूतात्मकं बरह्मन्नातः परतरं भवेत ।। ३-२०१-१५ ।।

'This entire universe, unconquerable in all directions and filled with the great elements, is Brahman, and there is nothing greater than this.' ।। 3-201-15 ।।

english translation

idaM vizvaM jagata sarvama ajayyaM cApi sarvazaH mahAbhUtAtmakaM barahmannAtaH parataraM bhaveta || 3-201-15 ||
