विषमां च दशां पराप्य देवान गर्हति वै भृशम आत्मनः कर्म दॊषाणि न विजानात्य अपण्डितः ॥ ३-२००-६ ॥
'The ignorant man, having fallen into a wretched state, blames the gods without understanding that it is the result of his own evil deeds.' ॥ 3-200-6 ॥
english translation
मूढॊ नैकृतिकाश चापि चपलश च दविजॊत्तम सुखदुःखविपर्यासॊ यदा समुपपद्यते नैनं परज्ञा सुनीतं वा तरायते नैव पौरुषम ॥ ३-२००-७ ॥
'O noble Brahmana, the foolish, the deceitful, and the fickle inevitably experience outcomes opposite to what they desire—happiness turning to misery, or misery to happiness. Neither learning, nor good morals, nor personal exertion can save them.' ॥ 3-200-7 ॥
english translation
यॊ यम इच्छेद यथाकामं तं तं कामं समश्नुयात यदि सयाद अपराधीनं पुरुषस्य करियाफलम ॥ ३-२००-८ ॥
'And if the fruits of our exertion were not dependent on anything else, people would achieve the object of their desire merely by striving for it.' ॥ 3-200-8 ॥
english translation
संयताश चापि दक्षाश च मतिमन्तश च मानवाः दृश्यन्ते निष्फलाः सन्तः परहीणाः सर्वकर्मभिः ॥ ३-२००-९ ॥
'It is observed that capable, intelligent, and diligent individuals are often thwarted in their efforts and do not attain the fruits of their actions.' ॥ 3-200-9 ॥

भूतानाम अपरः कश चिद धिंसायां सततॊत्थितः वञ्चनायां च लॊकस्य स सुखेनेह जीवति ॥ ३-२००-१० ॥
'On the other hand, those who are constantly engaged in harming others and deceiving the world live a prosperous life.' ॥ 3-200-10 ॥
