यथा संभृत संभारः पुनर एव परजायते शुभकृच छुभयॊनीषु पापकृत पापयॊनिषु ।। ३-२००-३१ ।।

sanskrit

'The spirit is reborn with its accumulated load of karma: the righteous are born in virtuous circumstances, while the wicked are born into sinful ones.' ।। 3-200-31 ।।

english translation

yathA saMbhRta saMbhAraH punara eva parajAyate zubhakRca chubhayònISu pApakRta pApayòniSu || 3-200-31 ||

sanskrit

'By performing virtuous actions, the spirit attains the state of the gods; by a mixture of good and evil, it acquires the human state. Through indulgence in sensual pleasures and demoralizing practices, it is born into lower species of animals, and by sinful acts, it descends to the infernal regions.' ।। 3-200-32 ।।

zubhaiH parayògaira devatvaM vayAmizraira mAnuSò bhaveta mòhanIyaira viyònISu tava adhò gAmI ca kilbiSaiH || 3-200-32 ||
