ततः कर्म समादत्ते पुनर अन्यन नवं बहु पच्यते तु पुनस तेन भुक्त्वापथ्यम इवातुरः ।। ३-२००-३६ ।।

sanskrit

'They then accumulate a new series of actions, leading them to suffer again, much like sickly men consuming unwholesome food.' ।। 3-200-36 ।।

english translation

tataH karma samAdatte punara anyana navaM bahu pacyate tu punasa tena bhuktvApathyama ivAturaH || 3-200-36 ||

अजस्रम एव दुःखार्तॊ ऽदुःखितः सुखसंज्ञितः ततॊ ऽनिवृत्त बन्धत्वात कर्मणाम उदयाद अपि परिक्रामति संसारे चक्रवद बहु वेदनः ।। ३-२००-३७ ।।

sanskrit

'Although afflicted in this way, they consider themselves happy and at ease. As a result, their fetters remain unbroken, and new karma arises. Suffering from various miseries, they continue to revolve in this world like a wheel.' ।। 3-200-37 ।।

english translation

ajasrama eva duHkhArtò 'duHkhitaH sukhasaMjJitaH tatò 'nivRtta bandhatvAta karmaNAma udayAda api parikrAmati saMsAre cakravada bahu vedanaH || 3-200-37 ||

स चेन निवृत्तबन्धस तु विशुद्धश चापि कर्मभिः पराप्नॊति सुकृताँल लॊकान यत्र गत्वा न शॊचति ।। ३-२००-३८ ।।

'By casting off their fetters, purifying themselves through righteous actions, austerities, and meditations, O best of Brahmanas, they reach the blissful realms.' ।। 3-200-38 ।।

sa cena nivRttabandhasa tu vizuddhaza cApi karmabhiH parApnòti sukRtA~la lòkAna yatra gatvA na zòcati || 3-200-38 ||

पापं कुर्वन पापवृत्तः पापस्यान्तं न गच्छति तस्मात पुण्यं यतेत कर्तुं वर्जयेत च पातकम ।। ३-२००-३९ ।।

'Through these numerous virtuous acts, and by the purification of their karma, they attain those celestial regions where no sorrow touches those who dwell there.' ।। 3-200-39 ।।

english translation

pApaM kurvana pApavRttaH pApasyAntaM na gacchati tasmAta puNyaM yateta kartuM varjayeta ca pAtakama || 3-200-39 ||

अनसूयुः कृतज्ञश च कल्याणान्य एव सेवते सुखानि धर्मम अर्थं च सवर्गं च लभते नरः ।। ३-२००-४० ।।

sanskrit

'The sinful person, entrenched in vices, never reaches the end of his wrongdoings. Therefore, we must dedicate ourselves to virtuous actions and abstain from the unrighteous. He who, with a heart full of gratitude and free from malice, endeavors to perform good deeds, attains wealth, virtue, happiness, and ultimately, the heavenly realms.' ।। 3-200-40 ।।

anasUyuH kRtajJaza ca kalyANAnya eva sevate sukhAni dharmama arthaM ca savargaM ca labhate naraH || 3-200-40 ||
