ततॊ देवगणाः सर्वे सेन्द्राः सह धनेश्वराः नारदं परेषयाम आसुः शवसनं च महाबलम ॥ ३-२०-२१ ॥
'Then all the celestial beings, led by Indra and Kubera, sent Narada and the wind god, who is swift as thought.' ॥ 3-20-21 ॥
english translation
तौ रौक्मिणेयम आगम्य वचॊ ऽबरूतां दिवौकसाम नैष वध्यस तवया वीर शाल्वराजः कथं चन ॥ ३-२०-२२ ॥
'Approaching the son of Rukmini, they delivered the divine message: 'O hero, King Salwa is not to be slain by you! Retract the arrow. He cannot be defeated by you in battle!'' ॥ 3-20-22 ॥

संहरस्व पुनर बाणम अवध्यॊ ऽयं तवया रणे एतस्य हि शरस्याजौ नावध्यॊ ऽसति पुमान कव चित ॥ ३-२०-२३ ॥
'There is no one who can escape the death destined by that arrow.' ॥ 3-20-23 ॥

मृत्युर अस्य महाबाहॊ रणे देवकिनन्दनः कृष्णः संकल्पितॊ धात्रा तन न मिथ्या भवेद इति ॥ ३-२०-२४ ॥
'O mighty-armed one, the Creator has decreed that his death will be brought about by Krishna, the son of Devaki. Let this prophecy not be contradicted!' ॥ 3-20-24 ॥

ततः परमसंहृष्टः परद्युम्नः शरम उत्तरम संजहार धनुःश्रेष्ठात तूर्णे चैव नयवेशयत ॥ ३-२०-२५ ॥
'Thus, with a joyful heart, Pradyumna withdrew the finest of arrows from his excellent bow and returned it to his quiver.' ॥ 3-20-25 ॥
