'Seeing those arrows cut off by Pradyumna, that king of Saubha, Resorting to terrible demonic magic, released arrows.' ॥ 3-20-16 ॥

chinnAna dRSTvA tu tAna bANAna paradyumnena sa saubharATa AsurIM dAruNIM mAyAma AsthAya vayasRjaca charAna ॥ 3-20-16 ॥

परयुज्यमानम आज्ञाय दैतेयास्त्रं महाबलः बरह्मास्त्रेणान्तरा छित्त्वा मुमॊचान्यान पतत्रिणः ॥ ३-२०-१७ ॥

'Perceiving the use of the Daitya weapon, the mighty one Cut it off midway with the Brahmastra, and released other winged (arrows).' ॥ 3-20-17 ॥

ते तद अस्त्रं विधूयाशु विव्यधू रुधिराशनाः शिरस्य उरसि वक्त्रेच स मुमॊह पपात च ॥ ३-२०-१८ ॥

'These arrows, eager for blood, deflected the Daitya shafts and struck Salwa’s head, chest, and face. Overwhelmed by the wounds, Salwa collapsed, senseless.' ॥ 3-20-18 ॥

तस्मिन निपतिते कषुद्रे शाल्वे बाणप्रपीडिते रौक्मिणेयॊ ऽपरं बाणं संदधे शत्रुनाशनम ॥ ३-२०-१९ ॥

'Seeing Salwa fallen and afflicted by his arrows, Pradyumna aimed another arrow at him, one capable of vanquishing any enemy.' ॥ 3-20-19 ॥

तम अर्चितं सर्वदाशार्ह पूगैर; आशीर्भिर अर्कज्वलन परकाशम दृष्ट्वा शरं जयाम अभिनीयमानं; बभूव हाहाकृतम अन्तरिक्षम ॥ ३-२०-२० ॥

'As this arrow, revered by all the Dasarhas and blazing like fire, was fixed on the bowstring, the heavens were filled with cries of 'Oh!' and 'Alas!'' ॥ 3-20-20 ॥
