राजतः सलिलाद अग्नेश चॊरतः सवजनाद अपि भयम अर्थवतां नित्यं मृत्यॊः पराणभृताम इव ॥ ३-२-३८ ॥
'Just as living beings are perpetually fearful of death, so too are wealthy individuals constantly apprehensive of threats from the king, thieves, water, fire, and even their own relatives.' ॥ 3-2-38 ॥
