यॊ यथा परकृतिर जन्तुः सवां सवां परकृतिम अश्नुते पापात्मा करॊधकामादीन दॊषान आप्नॊत्य अनात्मवान ॥ ३-१९८-७१ ॥
'Every creature follows the inherent principles of conduct according to its nature. The sinful being, devoid of self-control, succumbs to lust, anger, and other vices.' ॥ 3-198-71 ॥
english translation
yò yathA parakRtira jantuH savAM savAM parakRtima aznute pApAtmA karòdhakAmAdIna dòSAna Apnòtya anAtmavAna ॥ 3-198-71 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआरम्भॊ नयाययुक्तॊ यः स हि धर्म इति समृतः अनाचारस तव अधर्मेति एतच छिष्टानुशासनम ॥ ३-१९८-७२ ॥
'It is the eternal principle that virtuous actions are those based on justice, and it is also decreed by the wise that all unrighteous conduct is sinful.' ॥ 3-198-72 ॥
english translation
Arambhò nayAyayuktò yaH sa hi dharma iti samRtaH anAcArasa tava adharmeti etaca chiSTAnuzAsanama ॥ 3-198-72 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअक्रुध्यन्तॊ ऽनसूयन्तॊ निरहंकार मत्सराः ऋजवः शम संपन्नाः शिष्टाचारा भवन्ति ते ॥ ३-१९८-७३ ॥
'Those who are not swayed by anger, pride, arrogance, or envy, and who remain calm and straightforward, are truly men of virtuous conduct.' ॥ 3-198-73 ॥

akrudhyantò 'nasUyantò nirahaMkAra matsarAH RjavaH zama saMpannAH ziSTAcArA bhavanti te ॥ 3-198-73 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतरैविद्य वृद्धाः शुचयश वृत्तवन्तॊ मनस्विनः गुरुशुश्रूषवॊ दान्ताः शिष्टाचारा भवन्त्य उत ॥ ३-१९८-७४ ॥
'Those who are diligent in performing the rites prescribed in the three Vedas, endowed with wisdom, purity, and virtuous conduct, who practice self-restraint and remain attentive to their superiors, are truly men of virtuous conduct.' ॥ 3-198-74 ॥

taraividya vRddhAH zucayaza vRttavantò manasvinaH guruzuzrUSavò dAntAH ziSTAcArA bhavantya uta ॥ 3-198-74 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतेषाम अदीनसत्त्वानां दुष्कराचार कर्मणाम सवैः कर्मभिः सत्कृतानां घॊरत्वं संप्रणश्यति ॥ ३-१९८-७५ ॥
'The actions and conduct of such men of great power are exceedingly difficult to attain. Their purification through their own righteous deeds sanctifies them, causing sin to naturally wither away within them.' ॥ 3-198-75 ॥

teSAma adInasattvAnAM duSkarAcAra karmaNAma savaiH karmabhiH satkRtAnAM ghòratvaM saMpraNazyati ॥ 3-198-75 ॥
