नास्तिकान भिन्नमर्यादान करूरान पापमतौ सथितान तयज ताञ जञानम आश्रित्य धार्मिकान उपसेव्य च ॥ ३-१९८-६६ ॥
'Shun the atheists, those who transgress the bounds of virtue, the wicked-hearted, and those entrenched in sin. Instead, seek the company of the virtuous, and devote yourself to knowledge, honoring those who embody righteousness.' ॥ 3-198-66 ॥

nAstikAna bhinnamaryAdAna karUrAna pApamatau sathitAna tayaja tAJa jaJAnama Azritya dhArmikAna upasevya ca ॥ 3-198-66 ॥

'Lust and temptation are like fierce sharks in the river of life, while the waters represent the five senses. Cross over to the far shore of this river in the boat of patience and resignation, steering clear of the shoals of worldly existence and the cycle of rebirth.' ॥ 3-198-67 ॥

'The supreme virtue, which arises from the cultivation of intellect and detachment, when gradually woven into virtuous conduct, becomes as radiant as dye on a pristine white cloth.' ॥ 3-198-68 ॥

karameNa saMcitò dharmò buddhiyògamayò mahAna ziSTAcAre bhaveta sAdhU rAgaH zukleva vAsasi ॥ 3-198-68 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहिंसा सत्यवचनं सर्वभूतहितं परम अहिंसा परमॊ धर्मः स च सत्ये परतिष्ठितः सत्ये कृत्वा परतिष्ठां तु परवर्तन्ते परवृत्तयः ॥ ३-१९८-६९ ॥
'Truthfulness and non-injury to others are virtues that greatly benefit all beings. Among these, non-violence stands as a cardinal virtue, deeply rooted in truth. Our mental faculties function at their best when grounded in truth, and in the practice of virtue, truth holds the highest importance.' ॥ 3-198-69 ॥

ahiMsA satyavacanaM sarvabhUtahitaM parama ahiMsA paramò dharmaH sa ca satye paratiSThitaH satye kRtvA paratiSThAM tu paravartante paravRttayaH ॥ 3-198-69 ॥

'Purity of conduct is the defining trait of all virtuous individuals. Those who are distinguished by their righteous living embody true goodness and virtue.' ॥ 3-198-70 ॥
