[वयाध] यज्ञॊ दानं तपॊ वेदाः सत्यं च दविजसत्तम पञ्चैतानि पवित्राणि शिष्टाचारेषु नित्यदा ॥ ३-१९८-५७ ॥

'Hearing these words, the fowler replied, "O best of Brahmanas, the five sacred principles—sacrifice, charity, asceticism, the Vedas, and truth—are always present in conduct that is called virtuous."' ॥ 3-198-57 ॥

english translation

[vayAdha] yajJò dAnaM tapò vedAH satyaM ca davijasattama paJcaitAni pavitrANi ziSTAcAreSu nityadA ॥ 3-198-57 ॥
